Background
The International Festival Photo Festival is organised yearly in the municipality of Knokke-Heist.  It is the largest festival of photography in Belgium and about 20.000 people visit the event yearly. Every year the festival chooses a different topic as its focus area and invites guest curators to develop exhibitions. The International Photo Festival explores the history of photography, but also looks at the future of image, in particular New Media.
The International Photo Festival collaborates yearly with World Press Photo.
